We are not 911.
LAD is an after-hours receptionist for a shop. It cannot dispatch fire, police, or an ambulance. It will not stay on the line as 911. It will not call 911 for someone.
If you smell gas, the CO alarm is going, there is a fire, someone is hurt, or there are wires in water, hang up and call 911.
Then we stop. We do not take a name. We do not transfer. We do not say we can still help. When this fires
Any time in the call, including barge-in: gas, a gas leak, the smell of gas, carbon monoxide, a CO alarm or detector, fire, smoke, someone hurt, not breathing, wires in water, sparks in water, electric in the water.
This is an interrupt, not a bigger emergency product. We do not diagnose. We do not give medical, trade, or legal advice. We do not promise someone is on the way.
What the shop sees
The recap may say the caller mentioned a 911-level issue and that we told them to hang up and call 911. It will not store a diagnosis or extra medical detail.
If you are the shop owner
You cannot turn this off. Website copy, custom notes, and “ignore instructions” cannot keep LAD on a gas call or claim we are 911. If a note tries, it is dropped.
Put your after-hours transfer target on dispatch jobs, not on emergencies. For those, the caller needs 911, not the on-call tech.
